Job summary

Transaction Recruitment Ltd. are supporting a market-leading business in Solihull in their search for an experienced Sales Order Administrator to join the commercial team on a permanent basis.

You will be the main point of contact for processing orders from quotation through invoicing, coordinating with Sales, Finance, Procurement and Project teams to ensure accurate pricing, PO coverage and timely invoicing.

Qualifications

• Experience in order processing, sales administration or contract administration.
• Strong attention to detail and confident communication skills.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process customer enquiries and prepare quotations using approved templates and systems.
• Create and maintain sales orders from approved quotations and contracts, checking pricing, payment terms and PO coverage.
• Raise purchase orders, including those for subcontractors.
• Manage order amendments, cancellations and customer-requested changes.
• Coordinate invoicing, credit notes and order completion in line with contractual terms and month-end deadlines.
• Investigate and resolve invoice queries and commercial discrepancies, escalating where needed.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to keep orders moving and information accurate.
• Maintain accurate customer and commercial records, and flag problem orders or risks early.
• Carry out customer credit checks in line with company guidelines.
