Sales Manager - Engineered Capital Equipment | EMEA
£60,000 - £65,000+ Basic Salary (negotiable) + Commission + Benefits
Home-Based, UK | EMEA Territory | Approx. 30% International Travel
Are you an experienced technical sales professional with a background in selling high-value engineered capital equipment into manufacturing businesses?
This is an opportunity to join an established international engineering group and take responsibility for developing sales across the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa).
Typical projects range from approximately £300k to £1m, so this is a consultative, technically involved sales role focused on developing new customers and managing complex capital equipment opportunities through longer sales cycles.
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business across the EMEA region.
You will identify target customers, develop relationships and manage opportunities from initial engagement through technical development, commercial negotiation and order placement.
Working closely with engineering and applications teams, you will help understand customer requirements and develop appropriate technical and commercial solutions.
This role will suit someone who enjoys opening new accounts, developing markets and selling engineered solutions based on customer requirements rather than price alone.
The key requirement is relevant technical capital equipment sales experience.
You are likely to have worked as a: Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Manager, International Sales Manager, Export Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager or Sales Engineer
within an engineering or capital equipment business.
You should be able to demonstrate:
Experience selling capital equipment into food manufacturing, food processing or other process‑led manufacturing environments would be particularly relevant.
Candidates from other engineered capital equipment sectors will also be considered where their experience involves technically complex, high‑value project sales.
This role is unlikely to suit someone whose experience has mainly involved selling components, consumables, maintenance contracts, software, general industrial products or low‑value standard equipment without wider capital equipment responsibility.
Basic Salary: £60,000 - £65,000+, depending on experience
Commission: Competitive commission structure
Benefits include: Private healthcare, Company pension, Life assurance
Location: Home-based anywhere in the UK, within reasonable travelling distance of a major international airport.
Travel: Approximately 30% across the UK and EMEA.
