Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Sales Engineer – Electrical Equipment to cover East Anglia. The role focuses on selling a manufactured range of electrical equipment, including energy distribution, wiring accessories, lighting connection and building automation.

You will split time between visiting installers/sub-contractors and wholesalers, with four days on the road and one day from home. A strong track record in new business and relationship growth is essential in this regional market.

• Field sales selling a manufactured range of electrical equipment including energy distribution, wiring accessories, lighting connection & control and building automation.
• 40% of time stimulating demand for products via electrical installers/sub-contractors; inherit warm relationships in area.
• 60% managing relationships with 90–110 electrical wholesalers in patch.
• Responsible for an area achieving around £8m turnover.
• Four days on the road visiting customers, one day working from home/administration.

Job Title: Sales Engineer – Electrical Equipment

Area to be covered: East Anglia (postcodes; NR, IP, CO, CM & SS)

Remuneration: £50,000-£60,000 + up to 4 months’ salary as a bonus

The role of the Sales Engineer – Electrical Equipment will involve:

• Field sales position selling a manufactured range of electrical equipment including; energy distribution, wiring accessories, lighting connection & control and building automation
• 40% of your time stimulating demand for these products via electrical installers/ sub-contractors (you will inherit circa 60 warm relationships with installers on the area)
• 60% managing relationships with circa 90-110 electrical wholesalers on patch
• Responsible for an area achieving circa £8m turnover
• Demand is key to this role
• Four days on the road visiting customers, one day working from home/ administration
• Typically 4customer visits per day

The ideal applicant will be a sales Engineer – Electrical Equipment with:

• Field sales experience within the electrical sector
• Must have created demand with electrical installers/ electrical sub-contractors and ideally managed and built relationships with electrical wholesalers
• Open on electrical product backgrounds
• Any knowledge of; energy distribution, wiring accessories, lighting connection & control and building automation may be beneficial but not essential
• Demonstrable track record in new business and account management
• Personable, team player, people person, driven and enthusiastic
