Job summary

DePuy Synthes in Leeds, UK is recruiting a Commercial Skills Manager to lead the development and delivery of a commercially focused sales skills strategy. This role partners with Sales Leadership, Marketing, and HR to diagnose capability gaps and align learning to business priorities.

The position drives adoption of the sales process and tools, creates coaching guides and playbooks, and tracks KPIs to measure program impact and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare sales and marketing roles (Sales, Sales Training, Professional Education, Brand Marketing, or Sales Management).
• Strong orthopaedics knowledge or experience required.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams within a global, matrixed organisation.

Responsibilities

• Develops a commercial sales skills strategy aligned to business priorities, customer segments, and go‑to‑market motions.
• Deploys sales skills curriculum covering discovery, qualification, value selling, objection handling, negotiation, account planning, and storytelling.
• Partners with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, HR, and other stakeholders to diagnose capability gaps and prioritise learning needs.
• Drives adoption of sales processes and tools by building coaching guides, playbooks, and reinforcement programs.
• Develops KPIs to measure program effectiveness and leads continuous improvement based on data and feedback.
