Job description

As the Sales Development Manager, you will oversee and optimize our sales service operations. This role involves leading a team of dedicated sales representatives, ensuring high-quality customer interactions, and continuously improving our sales service processes. You will lead new projects to boost sales and service, act as the primary point of contact for customers, and create project plans to achieve success. Responsibilities include developing training programs, managing administrative tasks for staff and customers, and designing promotional activities. You will bridge the gap between the sales team and customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.

Key Accountabilities

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and motivate a team of sales service representatives to exceed performance goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment that drives high performance.
  • Develop and implement coaching and training programs to enhance team skills and improve service delivery.
  • Conduct training sessions for both staff and customers, ensuring they are prepared to meet service standards and understand new promotions.
  • Set and uphold high standards for customer service, ensuring professionalism and efficiency in all interactions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, with a focus on sales promotion and service.
  • Resolve complex customer issues and complaints, prioritizing satisfaction and resolution.
  • Continuously review customer feedback and service metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

Sales Support and Coordination

  • Collaborate with the sales team to align service efforts with sales goals and strategies.
  • Assist the sales team in managing customer accounts, processing orders, and tracking sales activities.
  • Develop customer retention strategies based on insights from customer interactions to enhance satisfaction.
  • Plan and oversee promotional activities to drive sales and improve service delivery.

Process Improvement and Innovation

  • Review and optimize existing sales service processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Introduce new technologies or methods to streamline operations and elevate service quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Design and implement project plans that promote sales and service excellence.

Reporting and Performance Management

  • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer satisfaction, response times, and issue resolution rates.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, highlighting team achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Use data insights to guide strategic decisions and operational improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with departments (and stores )such as Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure a seamless service experience.
  • Participate in strategic planning meetings and contribute to company-wide initiatives and projects.
  • Facilitate clear communication and collaboration between departments and stores to meet customer needs and business goals.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are met.
  • Act as a customer advocate, ensuring their feedback is considered in strategic decision-making.
  • Implement loyalty programs to strengthen long-term relationships and encourage repeat business.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to staff and customer interactions to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.

B2B Sales and Relationship Management

  • Deliver top-tier service to manage the B2B business model effectively.
  • Ensure quotes are returned within 1-24 hours, maintaining quality control.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with B2B partners to ensure long-term success.
  • Stay informed on market pricing and competitor activities to stay competitive.
  • Foster relationships with suppliers to secure better pricing and faster delivery times.
  • Communicate effectively with Sales Development and the branch network for consistency.
  • Conduct B2B client site visits to train teams and strengthen relationships, while enhancing product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Capture and follow up on all inquiries and project opportunities to ensure full coverage.
