Job summary

Macfarlane Group UK Ltd in Newcastle is seeking a proactive Sales Coordinator to support our busy sales team and ensure smooth order progression. You will be the first point of contact for customer accounts, handle enquiries, process orders and help revive lapsed opportunities.

Working with Sales Executives, purchasing and logistics, you’ll track orders in MS Dynamics and maintain accurate records to sustain service levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in a sales coordination, administration, or support role.
• Proven track record handling customer enquiries and outbound calls.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail and multitasking.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
• Familiarity with packaging or distribution sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support sales growth by managing order progression and customer communications.
• Use CRM to track leads, update customer records, and monitor sales activity.
• Proactively contact lapsed or underutilised accounts to upsell/cross-sell.
• Collaborate with Sales Executives, purchasing and logistics to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Handle customer enquiries and process orders with precision.
