Job summary

Plumb Centre in Redruth is seeking a Sales Assistant to provide high-quality service at the trade counter, guiding customers and processing orders. You will handle inquiries by phone and email, offer product recommendations, and help maintain a welcoming branch environment.

The role requires a hands-on, proactive approach, strong communication skills, and a full driving licence. It is a full-time position with opportunities to develop within the Wolseley Group.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the trade counter with product recommendations.
• Handle customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Provide excellent service and build relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
• Grow branch sales by pursuing opportunities with existing and new customers.
• Complete warehouse duties including picking/packing, deliveries and merchandising.
• Drive delivery vehicle and fulfill customer orders.

As a Sales Assistant based in Redruth (TR15 3RR) , you'll be responsible for:

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
• Dealing with customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Providing excellent service, establishing strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers
• Proactively seeking opportunities to grow sales within the branch, working with both existing and new customers
• Completing general warehouse duties, including picking and packing orders (which will involve some heavy lifting), organising deliveries and merchandising displays to a high standard
• Driving delivery Vehicle and completing customer orders.

This is a Full Time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:00am- 17:00pm. Saturday working when required 8am to 12pm, paid as overtime.
