About Our Client
Job Description
  1. Develop & deliver an integrated sales & marketing strategy, driving performance, expanding brand awareness, targeting new markets, and identifying new channels.
  2. Drive sales growth across services and products to support the customer proposition, site utilisation, and customer experiences.
  3. Engage with customers and potential customers, driving acquisition and retention, maximising spend per member.
  4. To drive business growth and revenue, oversee the development of marketing campaigns and other initiatives to increase brand awareness.
  5. Lead, inspire, and motivate a multi-disciplinary team to achieve strategic goals and deliver measurable results, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  6. Drive effective communication and employee engagement across the business, inspiring trust and commitment from the wider team.
  7. Drive commercial growth through exploration of new products and services.
  8. Maintain strong market and competitor awareness, building on good strategic knowledge of the sector to influence positioning.
  9. Collaborate closely with the Director of Commercial Insight to shape the marketing strategy.
  10. Engage with the industry, developing and maintaining strong relationships.
  11. Stay informed about legal or industry developments impacting your area, sharing relevant information with SLT and direct reports.
The Successful Applicant
  1. Significant experience in driving sales and growth through an integrated marketing strategy for a customer-focused service organization.
  2. Experience in a senior leadership role managing a multi-disciplinary team.
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  4. Commercially astute with effective business decision-making skills.
  5. Experience managing a multi-million-pound marketing budget.
  6. Proven commercial impact in previous roles.
  7. Experience in coaching, developing, and challenging teams.
  8. Experience in internal communications and external relations.
  9. Experience planning and managing PR and campaigns.
  10. Ideally, experience within the leisure and tourism sector.
  11. Experience in consumer online sales within tourism and leisure sectors.
  12. Ability to deliver against an evolving 5-year business plan.
