Job summary

Plumb Centre in Louth is seeking a Sales Assistant to serve customers at the trade counter, respond to enquiries by phone and email, and help drive branch sales. The role includes light warehouse duties and handling heavy items, with a schedule of 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays.

The ideal candidate has prior face-to-face sales experience, is a team player, proactive, and eager to learn, with a willingness to take on a diverse role within the branch.

As a Sales Assistant based in Louth, you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending
• Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets
• Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday between 07.30am - 5.00pm and the occasional Saturday 08.00am - 12.00pm.
