Our client is a family-run business based in the East End of Glasgow. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Administrator.

This is a permanent, part-time role, working 22.5 hours per week. Our client is flexible on start and finish times, ideally covering Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. However, shorter hours spread over more days are also an option and can be discussed.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the sales department by managing administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong organisational skills and proficiency in software applications such as MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team, including managing schedules and coordinating meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and customer interactions using software such as Sage.
  • Assist in preparing sales reports and presentations using Excel and Word.
  • Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring high customer service standards.
  • Process orders and manage inventory levels for timely fulfilment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency within sales administration.
  • Continuously update and maintain customer databases, ensuring information is current and accurate.
  • Follow up on quotes from potential customers.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
