A medical practice in Bradford is seeking an enthusiastic salaried doctor to cover 6 sessions per week. This role includes teaching and supervising medical students, delivering effective care, and various administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a Medical Degree and GMC registration, with a commitment to high-quality primary care. Due to the retirement of a colleague, we are keen tostrengthen our team with an enthusiastic salaried doctor to cover 6 sessionsper week who has a particular interest in teaching and supervising medicalstudents.
The successful applicant would be required to work a fullday on a Monday with flexibility available for the remaining sessions.
The role involves a mix of duties including standardconsulting, home visits, debriefing registrar doctors as well as covering halfday on-calls. There will be particular emphasis on teaching our Year 4 and 5Medical students for the practice. The post-holder will make themselvesavailable to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations,telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking andsigning repeat prescriptions, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely manner.
Situated in the heart of Bradford, we are a dynamic 5partner surgery with a patient list size of over9000. Our practice falls within the boundary of West Yorkshire ICB andwe are part of the collaborative 5 Lane Ends PCN which consists of 4 otherpractices.
We are a patient-centric practice with a family orientatedapproach. We are rated highly for our good access and use reception-led carenavigation to good effect. We use e-consults, Accurx, Patchs, ASSIST, and e-referrals to services includingcommunity pharmacy and physio-first. We useArdens decision support software.
Our multidisciplinary team includes 3 other salaried GPs, 2practice nurses, 3 healthcare assistants, as well as an experiencedadministrative and reception team. Our ARRs roles include a GeneralPractitioner, Physiotherapist, Social prescribers,

The following are the core responsibilities of the salariedGP. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this willbe dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
The delivery of highly effective medical care to thepractice population
The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Supporting our highly skilled nurses in effective managementof long-term conditions
Processing of administration in a timely manner, includingreferrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrativetasks
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with goodpractice, policy, and guidance
Working collaboratively, accepting a fair and equal share ofthe practice workload with the other salaried GPs who we currently employ (butthis can be adjusted pro-rata)
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinicalguidelines and the audit process
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuousimprovement and quality initiatives within the practice
Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings asrequired
Ensure compliance with the in-house appraisal process
Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuingprofessional development across the practice team
Support the training of medical students
Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of thepractice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staffregularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all time
