Job summary

Monarch Education is recruiting a dedicated Safeguarding Lead for a secondary school in Salford. You will promote welfare, safety and wellbeing of pupils and ensure safeguarding policies are implemented effectively.

Lead safeguarding procedures, liaise with external agencies, and train staff to maintain a secure and supportive school environment for all students.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding, welfare, or child protection within an educational setting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and procedures.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Safeguarding Lead looking to make a real difference in a Salford school? Monarch Education is recruiting a dedicated and proactive Safeguarding Lead to join a welcoming school in Salford. You will play a vital role in promoting the welfare, safety, and wellbeing of pupils, ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented effectively and that students receive the support they need to thrive.

Working closely with staff, families, external agencies, and senior leaders, you will help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child can achieve their full potential.

The Role

• Lead and manage safeguarding and child protection procedures across the school

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a safeguarding, pastoral, welfare, or child protection role within an educational setting
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, and best practice
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with pupils, families, staff, and external agencies
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
