Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant/HLTA to support primary pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs in a busy school in Walsall. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils access learning and build confidence in a calm, supportive environment.

This hands-on role requires strong behaviour management, resilience and a proactive approach. The position is full-time, temporary to permanent, with a competitive salary based on experience and a 100 sign-on bonus

• Previous experience working in a SEND or behaviour-focused setting.
• Strong behaviour management skills with the confidence to de-escalate challenging situations calmly.
• A resilient, proactive and hands-on approach to supporting young people.

About the role:

You will be helping primary pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs to thrive both in the classroom and as individuals. Working closely with students every day, you will support their learning, build their confidence and support with their personal development. This is a hands-on role and many key aspect which include managing and responding to challenging behaviours in a calm, confident and proactive manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience working within Primary pupils 1:1
• Strong behaviour management skills and confidence in handling challenging situations.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to supporting learning and development.
