Job summary

South Eastern Regional College is seeking a Technician in Electronics for a permanent position at the Lisburn Campus. The successful candidate will provide technical support to lecturers and courses in the curriculum area. Applicants must have a minimum level 3 qualification in Electronics and demonstrate practical experience in developing electronic systems or circuits. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential. The role is 36 hours per week with several employee benefits including annual leave and health checks.

TECHNICIAN IN ELECTRONICS

Permanent Post, Lisburn Campus, 36 hours per week.

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Head of School, the post-holder will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to lecturers/courses in the relevant curriculum area.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
  • Hold a minimum level 3 qualification in Electronics.
  • Demonstrate practical experience of developing electronic systems or circuits.
  • Demonstrate effective organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrate competence in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
  • Have a minimum of 6 months industrial or professional experience in an electronic engineering role.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Arduino or microprocessor systems.
