Job summary

South Eastern Regional College invites applications for a Technician in Electrical Installation at Downpatrick Campus. This full-time, permanent role offers 36 hours per week and a starting salary of £28,598 per annum.

You will support lecturers and students within the Electrical Installation curriculum to ensure delivery of high-quality learning experiences. The successful candidate will have a Level 3 (or higher) apprenticeship in Electrical Installation, at least two years’ industry

Qualifications

• Level 3 or higher apprenticeship in Electrical Installation with certified documentation.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Electrical Installation industry.
• Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety within a construction environment.
• Demonstrate effective organisational skills.
• Demonstrate interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral.
• Competence in the use of Microsoft Office package.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and assistance to lecturers/courses in the relevant curriculum area.
• Assist lecturers and students to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
• Support the delivery of practical electrical installation sessions and equipment maintenance.

We currently have a vacancy for aTechnician in Electrical Installation

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Head of School the post-holder will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to lecturers/courses in the relevant curriculum area.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Have completed a Level 3 or above apprenticeship in Electrical Installation with certified documentation
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the Electrical Installation industry
• Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety within a construction environment
• Demonstrate effective organisational skills
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral
• Demonstrate competence in the use of Microsoft Office package.
