This is a substantive role that significantly contributes to the management of medicines, patient welfare, and organizational efficiency. The post is rotational, designed to provide broad experience and training to support further career progression.
If some essential criteria are not met, applicants may be considered for a progression band 5-6 post. Upon successful achievement of set objectives within an agreed timeframe, the post holder will progress to band 6. Details of objectives and timeframes will be provided if offered this opportunity.
Provide senior leadership in pharmacy services at University Hospitals Sussex, including services to Brighton University.
Undertake duties within specialist areas such as medicines optimisation and dispensary services.
Coordinate and be responsible for the training and development of trainee pharmacists and pre-registration pharmacy technicians, focusing on clinical and dispensary services.
Contribute to service development, including addressing current deficiencies and expanding services around counselling, adherence, flow coordination, and discharge transfers.
