Main duties of the job

• Support and manage a team of pharmacy assistants and trainee pharmacy assistants.
• Deliver patient-focused, quality care at Royal London Hospital.
• Utilize skills from dispensary and medicines management to provide a multi-skilled service.
• Work on wards to deliver quality care and support medicines optimization.
• Support dispensary management on a rotational basis.

Qualifications

Essential:

Desirable:

• Practice Supervisor or Train the Trainer qualification
• ILM Level 2 or 3 Leadership and Management qualification

Experience

Essential:

• Hospital or community pharmacy experience
• Supervisory experience
• Experience with pharmacy labelling, stock control, and medicines management
• Patient counselling and ward-based medicines management

Knowledge

• GPhC revalidation requirements
• Medicines management systems and legislation
• Stock control and drug information
• Patient safety initiatives
