Job summary

St. George’s Nursery Group is seeking a Nursery Room Leader to support and guide a small room team, ensuring high standards of care, education and safeguarding in line with EYFS. You’ll work with the Deputy and Nursery Manager to keep daily operations smooth and progress records up to date.

You'll help foster a positive environment where children thrive, and you’ll benefit from ongoing CPD, career progression and a supportive leadership team within a well-regarded East Midlands nursery group.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• Good understanding of the EYFS and ability to maintain progress records.
• Enhanced DBS check and references required.
• Childcare experience: 3+ years.
• Management experience: preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with and support parents, carers and other family members.
• Support all staff and promote a good staff team.
• Lead a small team in your room to provide exceptional level of childcare.
• Supported by the nursery management team.
• Maintain good practice in your room, ensuring that the EYFS is adhered to.
• Keeping records of children’s progress, routines, and interests.

About you

This is the perfect first step into nursery leadership. As a Nursery Room Leader, you’ll support and guide your team, work closely with the Deputy and Nursery Manager, and help ensure the room runs smoothly each day. You’ll play an important part in maintaining high standards of care, education and safeguarding, while helping to create a positive environment where both children and staff can thrive. What We’re Looking For

• We are committed to safeguarding children, and all posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
• Childcare experience: 3 years+ (Required)
• Management experience: (Preferred but not essential)
