St. George’s Nursery Group is seeking a Nursery Room Leader to support and guide a small team in delivering high-quality childcare within our East Midlands settings.

You will work closely with the Deputy and Nursery Manager to ensure the room runs smoothly every day and that safeguarding and education standards are maintained. This is a rewarding leadership step for a qualified childcare professional who is passionate about early years education and ready to develop their career within our

• Hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• You must have a good understanding of the EYFS and be capable of maintaining children’s development records.
• We are committed to safeguarding children; enhanced DBS check required.

About You

This is the perfect first step into nursery leadership. As a Nursery Room Leader, you’ll support and guide your team, work closely with the Deputy and Nursery Manager, and help ensure the room runs smoothly each day. You’ll play an important part in maintaining high standards of care, education and safeguarding, while helping to create a positive environment where both children and staff can thrive. If you’re a qualified childcare professional with a real passion for early years and you’re ready to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you.

Your Role

• Liaise with and support parents, carers and other family members.
• Support all staff and promote a good staff team.
• Lead a small team in your room to provide an exceptional level of childcare.
• supported by the nursery management team.
• Maintain good practice in your room, ensuring that the EYFS is adhered to.
• Keeping records of children’s progress, routines, and interests.

What We’re Looking For

• Hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• You must have a good understanding of the EYFS and be capable of maintaining children’s development records.
• We are committed to safeguarding children, and all posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
• Childcare experience: 3 years+ (Required)
• Management experience: (Preferred but not essential)
