Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery Group is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Room Leader to inspire and lead a supportive team at our Crawley nursery.

You'll run your room day to day, spark curiosity, plan activities using the EYFS framework, and build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues in a warm, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework is essential for planning activities.
• Ability to plan, observe and keep records for nursery aged children.

Responsibilities

• Lead the room on a day-to-day basis and supervise staff.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues to foster a warm environment.

As Room Leader, you'll take pride in running your room day to day - sparking curiosity, encouraging creativity, and making learning fun. You'll build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and play a big part in shaping the warm, inclusive atmosphere our nurseries are known for.

Please be advised if you do not possess a full and relevant qualification or experience within the childcare sector your application will not be considered.

• Suitable qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities
• To be aware of the role of planning, observation and keeping records when caring for nursery aged children
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs
• A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check

About our Crawley Nursery

Opened in 2024 on Ifield Road, just minutes from Crawley town centre, our nursery is set in a beautifully renovated Victorian home.
