Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd is seeking a skilled Roofer to join our Response team in Middlesbrough. You will specialise in responsive maintenance roofing works for customers’ properties and play a key role in delivering quality, safe repairs.

We offer a competitive salary (£34,293) for a 39-hour week, potential OTE up to £38,349 with bonus and overtime, plus a company van, PPE, holidays, pension and life insurance. A career with us means growth and stability.

Qualifications

• Must hold NVQ Level 2 in Roofing or equivalent qualification.
• Full UK driving licence required with access to company van.
• Ability to work to targets in fast-paced, reactive environment.
• Experience working in social housing environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake repair/renewal roofing works, including leaks, felt & batten, gutter leaks, lead work and torch-on felt repairs.
• Communicate with scheduling team, tenants and line managers.
• Work safely and comply with Health & Safety requirements.

You will specialise in carrying out Responsive Maintenance roof works to our customers properties.

The Roofer Role

• You will be responsible for undertaking repair/renewal roofing works, including repairs and maintenance covering roof leaks, felt & batten, gutter leaks, lead work & torch on felt repairs. Ability to undertake some brickwork related repairs is desirable
• Taking pride in building relationships, you will communicate effectively with the scheduling team, tenants and your line managers
• Work safely and in compliance with Health & Safety requirements.

What will you bring as a Roofer?

• Qualified to an NVQ Level 2 in Roofing
• Current PASMA and IPAF certification is desirable
• Ability to work to targets in a fast paced and reactive environment
• Ability to work professionally and considerately in a range of environments, including vulnerable tenants’ homes within social housing settings
• Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, with the use of a company van.
