Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd is seeking a skilled Roofer to join our Response business on a brand new long-term contract covering the Birmingham area. You will specialise in maintenance and repair roofing works to our customers' properties.

The role offers a guaranteed 39-hour week with a competitive salary (£35,530) and earning potential up to £39,586 with bonus, overtime and callout, plus a company van and fuel card.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Roofing is required.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required to operate a company van.

Responsibilities

• Undertake repair/renewal roofing works, including leaks, felt & batten, gutter issues, lead work, and torch-on felt repairs.
• Communicate effectively with scheduling team, tenants and line managers.
• Work safely and in compliance with Health & Safety requirements.

The Roofer Role

• You will be responsible for undertaking repair/renewal roofing works, including repairs and maintenance covering roof leaks, felt & batten, gutter leaks, lead work & torch on felt repairs. Ability to undertake some brickwork related repairs is desirable
• Taking pride in building relationships, you will communicate effectively with the scheduling team, tenants and your line managers
• Work safely and in compliance with Health & Safety requirements.

What will you bring as a Roofer?

• Qualified to an NVQ Level 2 in Roofing
• Some general maintenance knowledge in other trades would be advantageous
• Ability to work professionally and considerately in a range of environments, including vulnerable tenants’ homes within social housing settings
• Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, with the use of a company van.
