Job summary

Connexions Thames Valley is seeking a roofer to work in East Midlands. The role requires experience in social housing or local authority environments, and an NVQ2 or equivalent trade qualification. A valid UK manual driving licence is essential as the position involves company van use during hours.

Qualifications

• Duties include replacing slipped or missing roof tiles, clearing gutters, repairing gutters and downpipes, flashing around chimney stacks, and patching leaks on flat roofs.

Responsibilities

• Replace/repair roof tiles and gutters as required.
• Fix leaks and flashing around structures.
• Maintain and inspect roofing and drainage systems.

Requirements

Experience

• Previously worked in a social housing or local authority environment
• Relevant NVQ2 qualification or equivalent trade experience
• Duties to include things such as (but not limited to) replacing slipped or missing roof tiles, clearing and repairing blocked or leaking gutters and downpipes, fixing flashing around chimney stacks, and patching leaks on flat roofs over extensions or balconies

Driving

• A full UK manual driving licence (you will provided with your own Metworks van and fuel card for working hours).
• A minimum of one year of significant driving experience. (MTVH reserves the right to withdraw an offer of employment if company fleet policy is unable to secure adequate insurance.)
