Job summary

Humanoid is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Tech Lead to own the mechanical design of our robotic end effectors and guide the team’s technical direction. You’ll drive mechanisms end-to-end—from concept to manufacturing drawings—while mentoring engineers and collaborating with electrical and firmware teams.

You will oversee requirements development, design reviews, and tests to validate performance and durability in a fast-paced robotics environment.

Qualifications

6+ years in mechanical design for robotics, hardware, or electromechanical products.
Proven track record delivering complex electromechanical or robotic systems.
Experience leading or mentoring mechanical engineers and driving technical direction.
Experience leading requirements development and test/evaluation planning with customers or stakeholders.
Proficiency in 3D CAD (Siemens NX) with GD&T and tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical design strategy and architecture for end-effector products.
Lead design reviews and mentor mechanical engineers.
Gather and translate customer requirements into design specifications.
Own mechanical design end-to-end from concept to manufacturing drawings.
Integrate cameras, sensors and PCBAs into assemblies with electrical/firmware teams.
Balance weight, durability, ergonomics and manufacturability.
