Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will deliver expert roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency support across the UK, starting and finishing from home with a RAC van and full diagnostic tools.

The role requires Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent and 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years in a similar role, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points. Competitive base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £60,000, and overtime

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish at home while responding to calls with a RAC van and diagnostic kit.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
