Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll diagnose faults and perform emergency roadside repairs to get members back on the road across the UK.

Based from home, you’ll start and finish your day in your driveway, with an RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit provided. Shifts average 40 hours per week with optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle faults quickly and confidently while maintaining member service.
