Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. Based in the UK, you’ll perform diagnostics and roadside repairs, delivering quick, confident solutions to keep members on the move.

You’ll start and end your day from home, with a RAC van and all required tools supplied. Expect a 40-hour week with demand-led shifts and overtime opportunities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day from home; you’ll tackle calls head-on to get members back on the road.
• You’ll be provided with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit.
