Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll perform diagnostics and roadside repairs, traveling across the UK to assist members and restore their mobility.

Start and finish each day from your driveway, with a RAC van and the necessary tools and diagnostics kit provided. With a base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE around £60,000 (top performers earning significantly more), this role offers demand-led 40-hour weeks and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home with RAC van, fuel card, uniform and tools provided.

Education
