Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in Scarborough to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and end your day at home, with a dedicated RAC van, fuel card, and full diagnostic kit provided.

The role requires Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, plus a customer-focused mindset and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' post-qualification technical experience.
• A customer-focused approach and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work from home starting point to serve local areas; return home daily.
• Utilise provided RAC van, tools, and diagnostic kit to complete calls.
