Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to provide expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and finish your day at home, focusing on returning members to the road with your technical skill and excellent service.

Candidates should have Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or 5+ years as a technician) and a full UK driving licence with under 6 points, with shifts averaging ~40 hours per week and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and full UK driving licence with <6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, attending calls as a Roadside Technician.
• Be equipped with the tools, tech, and support to complete each job.
