Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics across the UK. You will diagnose faults, carry out on-site repairs, and provide emergency breakdown support, starting and finishing your day from home with a provided RAC van and toolkit.

We welcome technicians with NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) and 2+ years of experience, or 5+ years in a related role, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support.
• Troubleshoot faults, perform diagnostics and on-site repairs to return members to the road.
• Start and finish your day at home, with a RAC van and diagnostic toolkit provided.
