Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician in the Oldham area. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing from your home driveway.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll work around 40 hours per week with optional overtime and a base salary of £36,400 plus a realistic OTE of ~£60k. RAC provides a van, toolkit and full uniform.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members
