Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing from home and focusing daily on getting members back on the road in your local area.

You’ll work independently to diagnose faults with modern diagnostic tools, while developing through a structured programme and opportunities to achieve IMI accreditation. Ongoing training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving license with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide rapid fault finding and breakdown support to members.
• Diagnose faults and carry out solutions to get members back on the road.
• Work independently with strong focus on safety and customer service.
