Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You’ll start and end each day at home, working in the Harlow cluster and nearby areas to get members back on the road with quick, confident repairs.

In this role you’ll use your vehicle diagnostics skills, perform roadside repairs, and provide reassuring service. RAC provides a van, fuel card, tools, uniform, and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle faults such as flat batteries, tyre changes, and complex fault finding.
