Job summary

You will join RAC as a Roadside Technician within the Patrol division, delivering expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish your day at home, serving members in your local area with confidence and calm under pressure.

We provide your RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit to ensure you can handle a wide range of faults—from flat batteries to tyre changes—with speed and reliability.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years of experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK Driving Licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Troubleshoot faults, diagnose issues and perform repairs at the roadside.
• Start and end your day at home while servicing members in your local area.
