Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician in the Chesterfield area. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support, with shifts averaging 40 hours per week and start/end at your home driveway.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician, plus a full UK driving licence with <6 points. You’ll be supplied with a RAC van and tools.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day from home and cover local areas.
