Job summary

RAC in the United Kingdom is hiring a Roadside Technician. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years' experience, you’ll diagnose faults and perform essential roadside repairs.

You’ll start and finish at home, with shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime. Based in the Milton Keynes cluster, you’ll cover local areas, be equipped with an RAC van, fuel card, tools and diagnostic kit.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and providing quick, confident solutions.
• Be equipped with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit.
