RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Starts with on-driveway shifts and 40-hour weeks with optional overtime.

You’ll diagnose faults independently, assist members, and advance through a structured development programme to achieve IMI accreditation. Base salary £36,400 with realistic OTE £61,000; top performers earn more.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or equivalent
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsabilités

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Diagnose faults quickly and confidently to get members back on the road
• Work independently to identify faults and provide clear outcomes for members
• Develop skills through a structured development pathway and IMI accreditation
