Job summary

You will join RAC as a Roadside Technician in the UK, delivering expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support. You’ll start and finish from home across a local cluster, with a van, tools, and kit provided to service members in your area.

Requirements include an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving license with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic required.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on the roadside.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
