Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics across your local area in the UK. Start and finish from home, covering a typical 40-hour week with optional overtime, and deliver rapid, confident service to members.

You will use your NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience and hold a full UK driving licence. RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and supply quick, confident solutions.
• Start and finish each day from home and return to your local area.
