Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver fast, on‑site diagnostics and emergency repairs. You’ll start and finish from home, serving local members across a Chesterfield cluster including nearby towns, with a day focused on getting drivers back on the road.

Applicants require Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years in a similar role, plus a full UK driving licence with <6 points. A van, fuel card and tools are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day from home while serving local areas.
