Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostic and roadside repair work across the UK. You’ll be equipped to handle breakdowns, battery faults, tyre changes and more, delivering fast, confident service to members in your local area.

You’ll start and finish each day at home and report to the RAC Patrol division. The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or 2+ years’ experience) or 5+ years as a technician, plus a full UK licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Tackle faults, flats, tyre changes and related roadside servicing
• Start and end your day from home, with a RAC van and equipment provided
