Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and emergency breakdown support across the UK, delivering fast, confident service while staying calm under pressure.

You’ll start and finish from home with a RAC van, fuel card, and full tooling provided, enabling you to help members get back on the road quickly and safely.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
• Start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making an impact on the roadside.
