Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostics and roadside repairs across the UK. You’ll start and finish at home, work locally, and be equipped with a RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit. A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or 5+ years’ experience) and a full UK licence with <6 points are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• Alternatively, 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle calls from home base and manage local road calls.
• Utilise tools and diagnostic kit provided to complete fixes.
