Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing at home while covering your local area.

You’ll have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or 5+ years’ experience) and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points. A van, tools, and full uniform are provided, with a market-competitive base salary and realistic OTE.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
You’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Provide mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
Start and finish your day at home while covering your local area.
Utilise provided RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit to get members back on the road quickly.
