Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division across the UK. You’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support, working mainly from home base with local call-outs in your area.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll drive an RAC van with full support gear provided, including fuel card and diagnostic kit, to get members back on the road quickly.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• Alternative: 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work from home base with local call-outs to get members back on the road.
• Use provided RAC van, fuel card, toolkit and diagnostic kit to complete calls.
