Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to restore members' mobility across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and provide emergency breakdown support with a customer‑focused approach.

Based in the Bournemouth cluster, you’ll start and finish at home, with a 40-hour week and optional overtime. You’ll receive a market-competitive base salary plus realistic OTE and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members
