Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in the UK. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the country, starting and finishing at your home.

You’ll work with a provided RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and diagnostic kit to quickly restore members’ mobility. Qualified applicants have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance NVQ (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support.
• Start and finish your day at home.
• You’ll be provided with an RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.
