Job summary

Join RAC as a Roadside Technician and work across the UK delivering expert roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support. You’ll base at home, with a RAC van, tools, and a fuel card to back your day‑to‑day calls.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Willingness to develop through RAC training pathway.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support UK-wide.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to members.
• Start and finish days at home, operate with RAC van and diagnostic kit.
