Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs and deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work independently, use the latest diagnostic tools, and help members get back on the move quickly.

Starting with a strong base of £36,400, you’ll have an earning potential around £61,000 OTE through bonuses and overtime, plus development opportunities and a structured progression path with IMI accreditation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and deliver mechanical roadside repairs.
• Provide vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work independently and communicate with members to get them back on the road quickly.
